Tyrannus Academy

Tyrannus Academy Pvt Ltd, a private school, was birthed in 2021 and established in early 2022. It was built from improvements on a previously Killian Mupingo High School, when additional investors with similar vision to the founders on Killian Mupingo High School came on board. Owners of Tyrannus Academy are experienced educationists, administrators, entrepreneurs, investors and businesspersons, with experience in both private and public spaces in Southern Africa and internationally.

Our Mission

Tyrannus Academy exists to build a godly foundation in our students through Christ-centered education in cooperation with the Christian home and church so that our students know, love, and obey Jesus Christ. This is achieved by establishing a teaching and learning environment that educates and transforms learners, ushering them to reign on Godly principles. Also, the learners are taught creativity, innovation, responsibility, and problem solving.

Once learners join Tyrannus Academy, they are changed to easily fit into the communities they will find themselves in. They are taught life skills and values, creativity and problem-solving, responsibility and the fear of the Lord.

Our Inspiration

The Christian-based institution is inspired by one of the greatest Apostle in the Holy Bible, Apostle Paul. From teaching in the synagogues, Paul took his disciples with him “and spoke daily in the school/lecture hall of Tyrannus. This went on for two years, so that all the Jews and Greeks who lived in the province of Asia heard the word of the Lord” (Acts 19:8-10, paraphrased). From this basis, Tyrannus Academy aims to educate and transform learners into firers leaders that reign. The world needs Christ, and Tyrannus Academy aims to teach learners as well as empower them towards sincere relationship with God. Like Paul, Tyrannus will deploy resources and expend efforts to transform leaners, and develop them into leaders that are creative, problem-solving, selfless, and God-fearing.
